Self-Care During Challenging Times

What a historic and chaotic week this has been! I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit frazzled.

Today, before starting to write, I decided to pull a card from my Doreen Virtue Goddess Guidance Oracle cards.

Sooo.... these are the 2 cards that presented themselves and a little bit about what they mean.

The Goddess Sedna is the Inuit Eskimo and Alaskan Goddess of the sea “who provides sustenance for the body and the soul”. In relationships, the key is to balance is “fearlessly giving as you’re guided and then receiving with joy and gratitude".

Just as with breathing, both the inhale and the exhale are equally important, so is the balance of giving and receiving in relationships.

Sedna encourages us to spend time in or near bodies of water. Since it’s winter for most of us and outdoor swimming is not an option, we can always take a warm bath and allow the power of water to soothe us.

The Goddess Sarasvati is the Hindu Goddess of the arts and creative expressions through music, dance, painting, drawing, sculpting, art, writing and speaking.

Sarasvati encourages self-expression through focusing our minds on creative projects so we are not distracted by the limiting thoughts and noise in our daily lives.

Doing creative projects helps us to enter and spend time in the world of the infinite and limitless possibilities, in the world of creation.

I invite you today to choose the message of one of these Goddesses to experience, for example, either the soothing influence of water or music as a counterbalance to all the chaotic energy around us.

I’ll be starting my online folk guitar course this weekend 😊. How about you?

With a universe of love and support for your heart’s desires,

Maria
